From Lab to Line: Longcheer Empowers Smart Manufacturing with AI and New Quality Productivity

On April 17, Longcheer Technology was invited to attend the Global Partner Conference of AgiBot held in Shanghai. As a core ecological partner of AgiBot, Longcheer shared its industrial-grade achievements in advancing embodied intelligence within the manufacturing sector. From completing the world's first industrial-grade demonstration of embodied intelligence in 3C precision manufacturing within just four months, to receiving the "Strategic Co-creation Award for Industrial Deployment," Longcheer has successfully transitioned from a "pioneering practitioner" to a "deep-level co-creator."

Countdown Kickoff – A Milestone Moment
Longcheer Technology and AgiBot  Together Mark Year One of the Deployment Era

At the conference site, Deng Taihua, Founder, Chairman and CEO of  AgiBot,pointed out that 2026 marks the "Year One of the Deployment Era" for embodied intelligence — the transition from laboratories to large-scale production lines. He invited ten partners to jointly complete a countdown launch ceremony. Du Junhong, Chairman of Longcheer Technology, took the stage to participate in the launch. This milestone moment signifies that embodied intelligence has officially entered a new phase of routine, industrial‑grade deployment.

Rapid Breakthrough from Zero to One Longcheer's Joint R&D Powers Industrial‑Grade Validation of Embodied Intelligence in Precision Manufacturing

As a key partner of AgiBot in joint R&D within the industrial ecosystem, Longcheer Technology has taken the lead in introducing the Spirit G2 embodied robot into mass production lines. Cheng Lihui, Senior Vice President and CTO of Longcheer Technology, opened his sharing session with real‑world footage of the Spirit G2 operating on the production line, and presented the collaboration results: "After several months of intensive efforts, the Spirit G2 has been deployed on a tablet production line. It leverages AI capabilities in flexible gripping, multi‑station collaboration, and has achieved the first industrial application of reinforcement learning on a physical robot. Next, the deployment of embodied robots on production lines will be expanded to core processes such as packaging, inspection, and precision assembly."

Just three days before the conference — on April 14 — Longcheer and AgiBot jointly completed the world's first eight-hour live endurance test of an embodied intelligence industrial production line. In this uninterrupted real-world production line stress test, the Genie G2 robot worked continuously at a tablet precision testing station without any human intervention, fully demonstrating to the industry the capability of embodied intelligence to operate stably in an actual mass production environment. This marked a true transition from "demonstrable" to "production-ready."

In his outlook, Cheng Lihui stated straightforwardly: "The combination of Longcheer's real-world mass production scenarios and AgiBot's cutting-edge technology holds immense potential. Longcheer is willing to work alongside AgiBot's to push the boundaries of embodied intelligence in industrial settings even further and co-define the next generation of smart manufacturing."

Ecosystem co‑building becomes an industry consensus as Longcheer evolves from a “pioneering practitioner” to a “deep co‑builder.”
Currently, the embodied intelligence industry is moving from "isolated technology validation" to "systematic ecosystem collaboration." Li Long, General Manager of Longcheer's Robotics Business Unit, officially proposed a role transformation at the Industrial Ecosystem Forum—Longcheer is not only a "pioneering practitioner" of embodied intelligence but also a "deep co‑builder" of the industrial ecosystem. He announced three major co‑building directions:
  1. Scenario Co‑creation – Opening up Longcheer's 20 years of real‑world 3C manufacturing scenarios to provide the best testing ground for algorithm iteration.
  2. Technology Co‑development – Jointly tackling core components and complete machine manufacturing, moving from "using robots well" to "building good robots."
  3. Industry Enabling – Creating standardized, replicable full‑cycle solutions to help scale adoption across the industry.

Li Long pointed out that embodied intelligence is redefining the boundaries of productivity in manufacturing, bringing fundamental leaps in flexibility, perception & decision‑making, and scalability. Longcheer's goal is to build a "highly flexible, strongly adaptive, and self‑decision‑making" new paradigm of smart manufacturing to address the challenges of high‑mix, low‑volume production. "We are moving beyond the limitations of traditional rigid automation, turning AI‑driven embodied intelligence into standardized productivity units, efficiently empowering Longcheer's seven global R&D centers and overseas manufacturing bases."

At the same time, Li Long outlined Longcheer's strategic direction for the next 3‑5 years: continuously breaking through key process bottlenecks, accumulating real‑world scenario data, and forming new human‑robot collaborative production models; improving multi‑process coordination and enhancing production line responsiveness; and ultimately building a full‑chain intelligent closed loop—creating a benchmark smart manufacturing system with self‑learning, self‑diagnosis, and self‑warning capabilities, setting a global example of embodied intelligence empowering "new quality productivity."

In the subsequent awards ceremony, Longcheer Technology received the "Industrial Deployment Strategic Co‑creation Award" from AgiBot in recognition of its outstanding contributions to industrial deployment of embodied intelligence. This honor also marks a new phase in the partnership—moving from project implementation to ecosystem co‑building.

Longcheer Technology's clear path of transformation is not only a key step in its own smart manufacturing upgrade, but also an epitome of how Chinese manufacturing enterprises are embracing embodied intelligence and reshaping industrial competitiveness for the era. Looking ahead, Longcheer will continue to collaborate deeply with AgiBot and global partners, elevating embodied intelligence from a tool on the production line to the infrastructure that defines the manufacturing paradigm, jointly driving the vision of a new era of productivity powered by embodied intelligence.
